Just wondering if anyone knows how Lincoln Park Spaeedway got its name. Always wondered about this.

I think it has to do with Abe Lincoln staying(parking) in a motel in Putnamville. He would travel from Washington to Springfield on the Old National Trail(US 40).

Maybe the motel was called Lincoln Park Motel....and he thought it would be cool to stay at a place named after him, or maybe they named it Lincoln Park Motel after he started stopping in.......or maybe there was never a motel named Lincoln Park and I am in left field and it has nothing to do with Abe Lincoln.
