DTWC SET FOR SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
Excessive moisture on the speedway and grounds force change in schedule
Lawrenceburg, IN: Due to excessive amounts of rain that have fallen recently in the Lawrenceburg area leaving the Speedway grounds extremely wet and muddy and the racetrack at a point where it needs some drying Dirt Track World Championship Promoter and Lawrenceburg Speedway promoter Dave Rudisell have made the difficult decision to re-schedule the DTWC for THIS SATURDAY AND SUNDAY Oct 17th & 18th.
“Dave and his crew tried in vain to work the track today”, said Short. Rudisell pointed to the amounts of rain from last weekend and what has fallen so far for the muddy conditions. “We want to give the racers the best surface possible and the fans the best race possible; with the forecast we have Saturday and Sunday will allow us to get it done”, said Rudisell. Both Short and Rudisell expressed safety for the racers as another reason for the two day delay. The only way they could’ve had the track ready would have been a very rough track and they didn’t want to put the cars out there like that and chance tearing up a lot of equipment un-necessarily.
Time schedule for this Saturday and Sunday are as follows; Gates will open each day at 9am with on track activities beginning at 12 noon.

I might be mistaken but with the last sprint car race of the year coming up and two tracks trying to have a race
at the same time. It appears that both tracks would be working up a plan where they both could cash in on the
sprint cars attending and the fans coming. There is time to make a plan and fill your pockets for the winter months.
as of this morning there isn't a set in stone schedule. The goal will be to qualify, heat race and hopefully as many consi's as we can saturday keeping the sunday schedule where we can get the fans back on the road as early as possible. between Dave Rudisell and myself we'll try to keep you updated as things develope
