dirtywhiteboy hello,

At every auto race I attend, including Silver Crown races, I buy a program, record the time trials, heats and consi's if there are any, and the starters and the finish of the races. Just that simple, and I have been recording racing info in some way, shape, or form at race tracks that I have attended a way's back from 1961. And, if I don't buy a program, I always bring a small note pad or go over to the USAC people and pick-up a driver line-up. Many times while I am taking photos at a race track, I will take photos of the line-up boards and the nite's racing activities as they are posted - easier and quicker this way.

Have a good day...see you at the races

Thanks. Ever thought about posting all of that. That is some very interesting and valuable information I am sure people would love to have (including me). Did you ever get to Little Springfield?

What a fun little bullring that joint was! Wish we would've run non-wing races there. THAT would have been a blast!

dirtywhiteboy,

Welcome, and no I never did get to Little Springfield.

I only recently posted the Silver Crown and Oswego stuff to hopefully put "fans in the stands." DuQuoin and Oswego are two of my all time favorite race tracks. The QuQuoin and Springfield 100 milers and the USAC sprints at Oswego Speedway back in the 60's are two of my all time greatest racing memories.

Interesting enough, I was recently chatting with my good friend Shane Wade at Haubstatdt, IN and at I-55Raceway, MO about the last time I was at St. Francois County Speedway in Farmington, MO. - an auto racing legend and friend won that nite - Chuck Amati.

I will post historical racing info and photos from time to time.

Have a good day...see you at the races
