Jerry,
What a lot of folks in non-wing mecca (Indiana) might not realize is that there is a ground swell of support in the Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, and even Tennessee area for sprint car racing (I don't call them non-wing sprint cars because I believe that only
real sprint cars race without wings - the others are
winged sprint cars:2

. Cases in point - Smiley Sitton's 305 series routinely has races without wings, Riverside in Memphis has a 305 class that runs weekly without wings, and I think one of the tracks in southern Missouri also regularly races without wings, and I think there may be others. All this to say that, while it would be good for the name drivers/teams in Indiana to participate with Emmett, it may not be necessary for TNT to go to Indiana to market their racing. If the ASCS history is any judge, Emmett will do his best to make this work as long as he feels he has the committment from the competitors.
And you are absolutely correct. This could be the big racing story of 2010.
