To be truthful, Kemper Arena is pretty much a dump.

I wish they would run the 1000cc or 1200cc mini sprints we would be there to race

they did last year..
better watch if they do it again, Don Moore might race his full midget with ya. I remember a few years ago when he brought his midget to race in a non-wing mini sprint race at Lakeville, and barely won.

I'm glad this event is back for a second go-around.

I was there last year for the second night. The only bad thing about it was the fact that all doors to the building were wide-open due to fumes. It didn't help that it was -10 degrees outside. The racing was pretty good and the venue was a lot nicer that some other tracks I've been to. And I think they got the track surface figured out and they know what to expect this time...That being said.....

Mr. Moore:
Before I begin this rant, I want to let you know that I DO NOT like bashing or talking trash on people.

But Don, I just don't get what there is to bash about this event. You constantly post on this board about the high cost of midget racing and lack of well-paying midget events. This is an event when there are no other races going on in the winter season, and if enough people come back to support it, it will only continue to grow. You absolutely DO NOT need a heavy-hitting, big dollar motor to run the Kemper Arena, which is right up your alley. You could very possibly be one of the top contenders at this race, that is if you have a car still. Are you even a car owner anymore, because I don't remember the last time I saw your car at the track. It would be silly for you not to show up at this race. You'd be a hypocrite for not running this event. Just my opinion. Please enlighten me if I'm way out of line, because I'm sure you will.

While I believe what Don preaches as far as midget troubles. The above example states the hypocrosy of Dons Critiszm of this event.

IF the Rumble series was on dirt. I wouldn't miss one of em.

Chuck, who didn't see a wheel stand one in ft wayne. It was ok but no sideways and dominated by munchkins

I would just show up and claim to have motor problems one night and mag problems the next. Get my 3500 and head home.

Nah, no need to tear apart a perfectly good midget event like this one. Hopefully it will succeed and continue to grow.
Besides, judging from my full yahoo email inbox, most of this board seems much more interested in why the "Kevin Miller experiment" thread was mysteriously locked out. Page 10 must be really juicy! Do tell!

Don can correct me if I am wrong but I took his original post and subsequent posts as sarcastic and not bashing.

And just to be clear I see no humor in tearing down these events .. It harms the promoters, the racers, and most of all the sport.
