I went and supported SCORA and the drivers that showed up to race. I enjoyed the evening with my son and I want to thank all the drivers who showed up to put on a show. Horsepower made no difference on this track. The Memmer and Stocken battle in the 1st heat was worth the price of addmission. Actually, if a few other of the local guys would made the show, such as Cummins and Cone, I think this would of been a really interesting night! If you dream to drive a sprint car and have fun, I see where SCORA can make this dream come true. I don't think a track like Chandler is a place to race sprint cars.

Wasn't going to say this, but yes I went......... Worth the $15........ Nope........ No Cooler rule was Ignorant......... Track was not horrible....... I have seen worse............. What Racing there was, was not terrible.......... Crowd was not bad (more than 25 cars in lot as said in earlier post).......... Slow 3/8 mile REAL Dirt track............... Knew it was going to be a Memmer Benefit / Charity race.........Got to meet Ron Miller from IOW.............If I drove down from Terre Haute, I would have stayed regardless........I am sure the regular Chandler race community thought it was cool...............Best part was that MOTORMASHER did not show up........That was worth it in itself............I was 12 minutes from my house and it was Sprint Cars and it was Sunday night which I had nothing to do........So I went and did my part to stimulate the local economy.........Does this make me a bad guy................

Even though this series is surrounded by controversy, I made the trip down along with my brother and a fellow racer. After all was said and done, we had a good time. Noticed alot of familiar faces in the stands, like us, who were there to basically see some racing. It's a shame we don't have a weekly sprint show around here anymore. I guess that I secretly hoped Chandler would pick this up and run Sunday shows for the lower dollar sprinters. Clearly a market for it at this particular track.

I wish people would quit bashing Sam on here. I don't think there is anyone more disappointed that the Steel block thing didn't work out than Sam. I know it's been a rough few weeks with the family issue and everything. Mr. Stockon always seems like a really nice guy who is trying to help out the lower budget teams.

We went to Chandler and the race was not bad at all. The place almost reminded me of Flora IL but with a lot higher banks. The surface stayed smooth all night. I really liked the format of the night. For heat races they basically had two groups and each group ran two heats. The guy who won the first heat would start last in the second heat. Then they started the A main on passing points during the heats.

The format is a SCORA format, not Chandler Speedway. We have used it every race there has been 16 cars or less. Sam came up with it as an equalizer for drawing instead of timed qualifications. And it gives the crowd 2 more sprint car races to watch.

I'm curious on the new point totals after Chandler...

Varvel advanced 71 pts ????? <--- I don't get how he got feature points on a DNS ? (Not picking on anyone, just asking)

I give all my props to Aric Gentry in the 10 car!! Not to bad of a race but was super slick and a little dusty, and the scora race later this month is cancelled there!

And you know how much MR. MEMMER has in his motor and how much everyone car cost
Bottom line He supported a race close to home and won.
Not his fault who showed up.You can only race against cars that are there
