Tom has always said when school starts his crowd drops off to much to run any shows other than the traditional Labor Day weekend races. He has added the $10,000 MSCS race in Sept. compared to past years. I think you can forget any thoughts of an August race. I raced there for 19 years and that has always been his thinking.

I think that if you schedule now you are risking low car and crowd counts. For those of you that only go to tss, there are other tracks that provide excellent racing also.

Somebody else suggested this poll.
Should Haubstadt Schedule a race in August due to the number of rainouts that the track has seen this year. Simple Yes or No will do.

And you can forget about August 22nd also. That is a $10,000 to win USAC sprint race at Lawrenceburg, a USAC silver crown race at Springfield, Ill., and TNT $10,000 to win sprint show at Lakeside.
And on August 15th you have USAC sprints & midgets at Salem, along with the Jack Hewitt Classic at Waynesfield.
