"Hess dominates Angell Park Field for victory #3"

By Bryan Gapinski
Sun Prairie,Wis., July 19---Mike Hess scored a wire-to-wire victory Sunday Night, capturing the 25-lap Badger Midget Series feature at Angell Park Speedway. The event also marked the second straight week the feature went non-stop.
Hess quickly jumped into the lead at start from his outside front row starting position. By lap 5 Hess enjoyed a two second advantage over Matt Smith. Two laps later fast qualifier Scott Hatton moved into second position. Hess began lapping slower cars on lap 10. Despite running in heavy lapped traffic Hess increased his lead over Hatton and Brad Kuhn as the pair waged a torrid battle for second position.
Running the cushion Hess continued his march through the field, lapping up to seventh place by the finish of the race. Hatton narrowed Hess's lead in the final four laps. Hess driving the Jerry Hardy owned Buzzard/Hawk No. 1 finished 1.36 seconds ahead of Hatton, followed by Kuhn, Smith and Brad Loyet.
" The car was perfect and we had to take advantage of starting up front this week" commented Hess after the victory. Hatton leads Loyet by 125 points, with Hess winner of two straight events now trailing by an additional 22 points heading into the July 26 event at Angell Park Speedway.

Is Ken Drangmeister any relation to Pam or Gene from the 70's? Just curious.

Seadog,

I am about 99% sure Ken is Pam and Gene's son.

Seadog, since the IRS was at the Prairie again last night I asked for you.

Ken and Pam Drangmeister are married. Rich Drangmeister is their son. Gene and Al Drangmeister are Ken's brothers.
