If they don't get it right this time, Lloyd, they could very well provide the opportunity Joe Spiker needs to bring Sprint Week back to LPS.

I heard a car owner say at L'Burg that the Kamp owner is about broke and that tonight may be the last race there this year. Just what I heard so who knows? Tom

The thing is, is that they have a really nice track up there. i think the problem is what has been posted before is there is not enough clay on the track and they are just not familiar with how to prepare for sprint cars.

Absolutely. If you added a little more parking space, this place could be one of the best facilities in the whole state. The grandstands and PA system are top rate. And the racing surface is wide and super fast. And, through the thick clouds of dust, I have seen some pretty good racing, there.
Several years ago, before I'd ever been to a race there, I stopped in during the week, on my way back from Chicago and I talked to Mr. Kamp for a few minutes. He was real nice guy. Told me the bright red racing surface was Kentucky clay he had brought in.
