Let me see..............
Former sprint car, Silver Crown, Midget, and TQ star wins big NASCAR race. How many IRL races have been won recently by any former sprint car, Silver Crown, Midget, and TQ star? None, you say?
Maybe, just maybe, the firing of TG was karma for all of us American open wheel fans!!

How do you think Steve Kinser and Jack Hewitt got a chance to run the 500 - do you think those teams just decided to pick them?

Tony George's "Original" concept of the IRL was brilliant!
It just could not get the financial support it needed to survive a racing series war.
I would like to know how much of the Hulman fortune went toward trying to make it work.
My hat is off to him for trying, I only wish it would have worked.
But I personally do not blame him for the original concept failing.

Stupid move by Busch, I thought that Tony couldnt have beaten him to the line anyway. I guess thats what you get for blocking. Unfortunately a whole bunch of other cars got tore up in the process.

Two real racers that can't stand running second. Their effort is special men. Makes you squirm in your seat to watch. Rough outcome for the poor mechanics. Did you notice there was no people in the backstretch grandstands at all?
