[QUOTE=Motormasher;112735]Mudpacker, Jon ran well in his heat race he just had some good drivers in front of him, Chase Stockon deserves recognition for not making 1 mistake in that heat race and Jon ran him clean and hard. Great job by both drivers!
As for track prep, that track was awesome all night long, there was no reason what so ever to go out there and mess with that track. Its been the same for 30 years and mother nature has worked it every day and its still the same. Most drivers don't want the track re-worked unless its just totally junk.
As for the Truckers team, word was they let Jonathen go and didn't want to start on the tail of the B-main with Hmiel. Someone also said Truckers may pull the plug after Speedweeks????
LOVED THE OPEN TIRE RULE TOO!!!
Great night of racing at the Paraga-Nation. Congratulations to Keith on a well run night of racing!!!

Motormasher,
I respectfully don't agree with your assessment of the heat race. Jon started 9th and ended up 4th. In my opinion, he didn't run particularly well in his 10 lap heat race. Chase Stockton did a great job holding Jon off, however no one had anything for him in the feature, including Chase. He was up to 8th at the halfway point and continued his march to the front.
I agree that the track didn't need to be reworked last night. Mother nature helped earlier by laying down some moisture. Keith Ford deserves a big thanks for putting on a great show.
As for the Truckers situation, I don't ever like to speculate without hearing from the source. If there is credible news to report, the proper people will let us know. We certainly don't need a bunch of loose cannons running off of the mouth about this or any other driver/owner situation. Enough said!
