I feel your pain about missing Indiana!
We met at Lawrenceburg (in the infamous Section A no less) during Sprint Week a couple years ago. I seem to remember you had a cast on your arm?

The feature was a good one. 40 laps green to checker. Good race between Santos, Coons, and Hines. I thought Coondog had Santos for sure on the white flag lap, but Santos held on for the win. Hopefully the event was successful enough to bring USAC back to Kalamzoo next year (Midgets would be stellar at k'zoo!).

Thanks for the info TJ, that was my number 1 race to see in MI this year and unfortunately I had to miss it to be at I-96, but we had a good night so it made up for it a little. Looking forward to finding some video.

I`ll bet the crowd was nowhere as big as when the ISMA supers ran there...........and they never wanted them back! I never understood that decision.......What a neat little bull ring tho....with the right show it should be packed every week.....good to see the santo`s family get such a great weekend....they deserve it........i bet the frito bandito is smiling........

Wasn't the best I've seen at Kalamazoo, but not the worst. Everyone stayed for the sprint feature, and there was noticeable reaction afterwords because it was a good race and ran off trouble free after their weekly classes ran over each other all night (odd for Kalamazoo from my past visits). I've never seen a bad open wheel show at Kalamazoo, and Saturday was no exception.
