Badger Champs head Thiel Memorial early enteries
By Bryan Gapinski Beaver Dam,Wis---Defending Badger Midget Series Champion Mike Hess and three-time series champ Scott Hatton head the early list of pre-enteries for Friday Night's July 3rd eighth annual Mid State Equipment Sue Thiel Memorial at Dodge County Fairgrounds. The event will post one of the Badger Midget Series, largest purses for the season. The event will also feature the IRA Bumper-to-Bumper Outlaw Sprint Car Series.
Hatton leads the current series point standing, with Hess in third place. Brad Loyet winner of three series events and nine midget features, nationwide this season has also entered the event. Race organizer Dan Thiel has structured a purse which pays $3,000 to-win, with $300 to start the feature. The payoff for the 22-car feature will total $13,400, with additional money slated for non-starters and preliminary race winners.
The deadline for pre-enteries for the event is Friday June 19, afterwards there will be a post entry fee. Lap sponsorship for the event can be obtained by calling Dan Theil at (920) 319-0177. The lightning fast half-mile dirt oval will also host a second Badger/IRA doubleheader on Friday Night Sept. 3 with the running of the third annual Stan Fox Memorial. A special ceremony honoring all previous Badger & IRA Drivers Champions will take place at the start of the evenings events.

Well i see USAC has a sprint and midget show at Toledo that night but since it's pavement is there any chance we might draw a few midgets to Dodge County? What about fans, anybody planning on making the trip?
