I agree with Kirk that this was Chris's breakout year and for however long he is out, the sprint racing scene will be missing a very important part. Sprint Week especially. Get well soon, Chris, because you'll definitely be missed.

Chris is a gritty tough young quick healer!
I know we will see him back in saddle real soon!
In the meantime, thoughts and prayers for "patience" and a speedy recovery!

I had T3, T4and T5 fractures. If I can give Chris any advice it is this: DO NOT TRY TO COMEBACK TO FAST,AND DO NOT TRY TO DO ANYTHING THE DOCTOR SAYS NOT TO DO. The worst mistake I ever made in my life was try to race when I really shouldn't have and now I regret it every minute I am awake. Let it heal how long they say, and then some. Your career will still be there. You are too young to put up with the pain caused by bad judgment. Please be 110% before you ever get back into a car. Best of luck. I'd be glad to talk to you about this.

Chris, please listen to everything the Dr. tells you to do! I also have fractured vert. and you need to let them heal fully. You are young and strong, so take the time off and do things right. Racing will always be around! Good Luck Kid!

The appointment with Dr. Trammell was very encouraging yesterday. He scheduled an MRI on Friday to check for ligament damage.
Obviously, Trammell doesn't want him to come back too quickly, but he was optimistic that the breaks were minor enough to heal pretty quickly.
