Anyone know who created this Lite-Craft/Hilborn fuel injector? It has a Hilborn manifold and bolt on butterflies made cast by Lite Craft. Here is a pick. It take a regular 8 stack injector and turns it into a 16 stack set up.

I can't answer your question, but that is a very cool piece. You could try the HAMB forum at www.jalopyjournal.com. There are alot of very knowledgeable folks over there.

I was told it was run on a sprint car in the Ohio/Indiana area. The butterflies are 2 3/16 each. Two butterflies for each cylinder is the equivalent of one 3.50 inch hole.

I found a little bit of information on what you have. This was taken off of racingjunk.com/

" For sale or trade - Here is a one of a kind fuel injection you will never see another of. It is a Hilborn 2 3/16" injection which has 16 stacks! The rules say you have to have a certain stack size, but it says nothing about how many right? I know the previous owners of this who used it on 360 sprint cars, and it always ran great. Last ran about two years ago. I got it from my friend who ran it. When I called the guy who is building my engine and told him about it, he said there was a picture of one like it in the shop he works....Hampshire racing engines here in Findlay. He took a look at it, and said that is the one! The story is, several years ago a local machinist built the custom parts, and was planning to go into mass production, but never did. The custom parts are cast with "lite craft pat pend". The intake is hilborn, as are all the other parts to my knowledge. This was in the past always ran with all 16 stacks, but the last car it was on was a 305 sprint so he decided he might be best off to run just eight stacks. So currently, 8 are removed, as is the secondary linkage...the butterflies are siliconed shut to keep dirt and debris out. The linkage is sticky from sitting, and will need freed up. Unfortunately, I do not have the linkage or stacks for the second set, but that should be simple enough. Will come complete as you see it with stacks, filters, nozzles, and lines, unless your cash or trade offer leaves me short of what I need to replace it. I will be keeping the radiator lines. Will trade for a conventional hilborn, kinsler, engler, etc. 2 3/16" injection, or make cash offer. This is a fine piece, I am just not mechanically inclined enough to get the full potential out of this....
