driving every night. You're only as good as your competition. Learned that a long time ago. So yea we drove 10 hrs knowing we wouldn't win. It might not show on the web results but I learned more there than racing a handful of local shows.
As for hurting my career, to be honest I would be alot further in my career had I never taken the wing off to begin with but i have not one regret in my choices before this point. I have met so many great people/fans/drivers/owners/crew chiefs and mentors I am greatful to know the people I do.
Don't plan on getting rich or I wouldnt have picked the career I did. I'm only trying to pick a route that I think has the best job security. Owner/driver in a higher paying series of sprintcars. I have more than myself to look out for now while doing what I love to do. Just to set the record strait we put this operation together from scratch this winter selling off my used equipment to fund what we have so far with the help of our sponsors we are doing the best we can with what we have. One blown motor and one 60HP short. Once we get a year of experience and some cash you will eat your words. Posted via Mobile Device
I'm glad your still racin, Daron...no matter what you drive. We cheered you on at Haubstadt with the wing & you did just fine there. I only wish you were with a different group...watch your back, Webb will screw you over...he does all his drivers. You'll get the hang on the wing car again...your too good a driver not to. Good luck.
In my past experiences with the WoO it is a follow the leader show. Daron showed what a true sprint car driver is all about. No matter how bad or good your starting position may be, drive the car like there's no tomorrow. I'm not bashing any of the regulars on the circuit by any means, but some seem satisfied to just make the show. Keep on hangin' on Daron, we all appreciate the effort you put forth each time you hit the track in what ever you drive.
