It should be for qualifying for tonights event. There's no way a non wing car could do that at Anderson. That's still a shock because the quickest times I saw with a wing earlier was 10.7

all things aside, if it were 40 years ago he'd be a star in the IRL @ THE BIG 500. there a still too many american very talented (no ca$$$$$h)drivers not at IMS. A real shame to me.

Yes it has to be for tonights winged sprint car show. For one qualifying for the little 5 does start tomorrow (thursday) and for two as said before there is no way possible for a non-wing sprint car to run a 10.3 lap around Anderson Speedway.I heard them practicing today from work but that is completely impossible.A non-wing car around Anderson is generally in the low to middle 11 second range. It may be possible with nitrous other than the fact that the straight's are so short you would end up either in the pits out turn 3 or in pendleton ave. in turn 1 before you got it to turn.Ha Ha!

Florida driver Dave Steele set a new track record and world record for quarter-mile paved ovals during qualifying for the Winged Sprints with a lap at 10.344 seconds. Steele’s lap broke the old mark set by Geoff Kaiser on June 24, 2006 at 10.414 seconds. Canadian driver Ryan Litt also eclipsed the old record by turning a lap at 10.397 seconds.

With all due respect to Dave Steele, The track record at South Bend Motor Speedway is a 10.046 set by Jeff Bloom, which is also a quarter mile track quite similar to Anderson.
