I plan on being there if the weather will cooperate.

I'm leaving for Indiana at 6am tomorrow. With the dismal weather forecast for Friday and Saturday, I'm going to TRY and double up Sunday. Winchester in the afternoon and then Kokomo. Mapquest says it's a little more than an hour and a half. So, do you guys think it's doable?

I did it last year when the King of the Wings show was during Midget Week. I made it to Kokomo before hot laps, and that was with about a 45 minute delay on the side of the road talking to a police officer. I went however Mapquest said to go; it's been awhile, so I can't really remember what roads I was on.

According to the CRA schedule of events, racing begins at 2:00 PM with the sprint car heats, followed by the street stock heats. Then it is the sprint car B main followed by the front wheel drive heats. The King of the Wings 30 lap feature is next up on the agenda.

You should be able to make the racing program at Kokomo. I would plan on at least an hour and a half travel time to Kokomo. I take State Road 32 West to Farmland and pick up State Road 1. I take State Road 1 North until it intersects with State Road 26. I take State Road 26 West (left) to just south of Upland, turn right and then take State Road 22 West to Kokomo. At US 31 in Kokomo turn North (right) and go to Morgan Street (Arby's) and turn West (left) on Morgan. You go about 2 miles to Davis Street (Just across second set of RR tracks) and turn right onto Davis and you are about 1/4 away from Kokomo Speedway.

State rd 1 is closed in Redkey but you can take state rd 1 to state road 28west to hwy 67 in albany then go north to state road 1 and be back on track.

Thanks for the heads up. I haven't been on State Road 1 up that way since the last time I pulled the Winchester-Kokomo double.
