I just wanted to let the many people from this board who have either texted, pm'ed or emailed both Kyle and I a very sincere THANK YOU for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.....
I had the simple surgery done.... gall bladder removal. Surgery went at 7:30am and I was home by 11:00am. I have some discomfort, which is to be expected, but thanks to Vicodin no pain. If all goes well I can make my 30th consecutive Pole Day at Indy on Saturday.
Kyle had his heart cath done. According to his wife he is clear but has to lay flat till 1am. I am assuming he will be able to go home in the morning.
If all goes well Kyle will be in Bloomington Friday for USAC sprints and we both should be at Haubstadt on Saturday. I will definitely be at Pole Day in Indy on Saturday... Haubstadt is depending on how I an feeling. No action shots from races for at least this week. I am under a 5 lb weight restriction for 2 weeks and I am not going to put myself in an infield possibly having to dodge a race car or slipping on the mud.
Thank you all again for your concern for both of us. It is truly awesome the amount of people who care.... we can never say thanks for everything enough!

Don,
Glad to hear that you and Kyle are on the road to recovery.

Follow the doctors orders and don't worry about getting back to the track too soon. There is plenty of open wheel action still ahead so don't over do it. Get the rest you need.

Mike
Be nice to people on the way up. You might need them on the way down. Jimmy Durante
