Always good to see a race honoring one of the past greats rescheduled instead of cancelled. Might me able to make the rain date.

Yes, it is. I can't do the makeup date because I have Brickyard 400 tickets.

You can easily do both. I live in Belleville and don't leave for the 400 until about 8 am. With the lack of crowd, we drive right in and can be in our seats 90 minutes before the race. And you must see some real racing that weekend

Thank you for all your suggestions. However, none of them are practical for my situation. I have attended all the Brickyard 400's, but I no longer have the passion for it I once did. I will reorder my tickets for the 2018 version, which will be the 25th, because it will be a milestone, and also to see what the September date will be like. I love the midgets at Belle-Clair, but I am not going to ruin my day by attempting to drive over there. It is just not doable in my case.
Although dirt track racing is my favorite, that doesn't mean I don't watch and enjoy other varieties. I have a string of 53 consecutive 500s going, and there is just something magic about anything being run at IMS.
I hope to hit some shows later in the year at Belle-Clair and I always finish my season at the December Southern IL Center midget show, and begin there with the March race.
I already have my tickets for the DuQuoin Silver Crown race (been to all of them since 1965) and the USAC Four Crown Nationals at Eldora, so I have some major dirt track classics to attend yet this year.
Wish they could have found a different date for the Arnie Knepper. I believe it has floated around, even running mid-week, at least once, but I know it is difficult to reschedule events when they rainout and many factors are involved. As was stated above, at least they have rescheduled.

Again, I took note of the comments and suggestions, but when you have plans made in advance, and they involve another person who has to adjust their schedule, it is just not something I can do. Hope the Arnie Knepper is exciting and well attended, and while the Brickyard 400 is a totally different event and lacks the intensity of a dirt bullring, my son-in-law and I have an enjoyable day just the same.
See y'all at the races!

Didn't mean to offend you Ron. Taxi cab racing is ok once in a while.

No problem! Yes, a little taxi cab racing once in awhile is okay. As they say, "variety is the spice of life".
