Still waiting to understand the TSR involvement in the 83 team. Time will tell.

A few years back, Roth was involved with KKR and McMahan drove the 83 on the tour. I wonder if it means Roth funding using TsR facilities in Indiana?

I know times are tough for top notch rides on the Outlaw tour but good luck making it through a year with Roth as flighty as he can get.

Dennis Roth is not flighty. Spoke with him at Stockton KWS this weekend. First did business with him before his first 410 sprint car win with Greg Decaires at San Jose in the early 90's. After TK needed to take a break from the tour, the team stumbled. He wasn't willing to let the team flounder at the rear. He's serious about winning, not just showing up. Fantastic that he is ready to put an Outlaw team out there again. He is a serious racer that has spent more on his team than most of us will make in a lifetime.

Location makes sense with TSR being located in Brownsburg and Joey living there. I think there has to be a little more substance than location. Dennis could just pay Joey to use his shop if it were just that, but who knows.

Dennis is a smart business man and must want something and this was a way to get to it. It was the same deal with the KKR partnership. He wanted Speedway engines and Rick Long wasn't taking on new customers. KKR wanted to put Paul in a car. He partnered with KKR and got Speedway engines and now has a stable of them.

I cant imagine that its for engines because in all reality the Shaver relationship is owned by Donny and Danny Schatz and not TSR, although TSR pays the bills.

We'll see what happens. Its all a guess on many people's part, but all sources say TSR is involved in some fashion......
