One for the road... Al Unser,Jr. @ age 15 @ Lawton WoO race in '78 back then his nickname was "The Flying Flea" ..... Wow!!

From the looks of the header I would say big block Chevy.

I know Stanton is a Mopar guy, but that looks like a B.B. Chevy to me too.

Yes , it was a big block chevy , you can also see the bulge in hood for valve cover clearance, if I can remember right he wasn't in the car long , winter series in California and the early races with the WOO and he was gone ,, neat to see the old pics,
