WESTERN MIDGETS RETURN TO TULARE MAY 30;

FACCINTO WINS THUNDERBOWL 30-LAPPER

Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif. hosted the Honda USAC Western Midget Series last Saturday night and will be the site of the next race on May 30.

Michael Faccinto of Hanford, Calif., USAC’s 2006 National Ford Focus Midget Champion, wheeled the MF Motorsports Spike/Chevy to victory in Saturday night’s 30-lapper at Tulare on J.D. Heiskell Race Night.

Faccinto passed Trey Marcham on lap four and led the rest of the way to beat Cody Swanson, Shannon McQueen, Brian Gard and Terry Nichols. Series point leader Ronnie Gardner was the fastest qualifier, but finished 11th.
