I plan on going to the AMA flat track races there this coming Saturday the 19th. Does anyone know if this will be run in conjunction with the fair? Or is it a stand alone event? I have never been there. Also do you know the size of the track? Thanks Joe.

Joe,
It's a stand alone event...Track is a half mile. I've been the last 3 years and would suggest to arrive early to get a good seat. The stands are just about full by the 7:30 race time.....You should really enjoy as they put on a great show.

I hope that Greenville is better than Columbus. I went ot the show a Beulah Park and left early. I really wanted to like the bikes but the viewing was not very good. The main grandstand did not allow you see the turns. THe concourse in front of the grandstands were too low to see much.
Oh well. I guess I have to wait longer to see a flat track show.

never been to beulah park,so don't know how that is. At Greenville I have never been in the main grandstand so I don't know how the view is their. I have always sat in the bleachers beside the main grandstand. They are just before the start/finish line and the view is excellent. The track reminds me of the old county fair tracks I visited when I was a kid with trees in the infield and some nostalgia. They open up the pits for spectators so make sure you take advantage of that. I can't remember if that was before the heat races or after them but they will announce it over the pa. The other thing that impressed me was racing started right at 7:30 and the show is very organized. Been out of there every year by 10:30. Hope that helps and if anyone is not making the trip to Haubstadt, I would highly recommend going to Greenville for the Ama flat track race. I think they put on a hell of a show.

It is a great place the grandstand has a great view! Fairgrounds is just north of the old greenville speedway! You have to go to the maidrite for hamburgers and cold beer! Just north of the traffic circle on 118!
