It's a small possibility. They only have 30 confirmed entries so far and that splits the engines 15/15 between Honda and Chevy. The Honda's are slow, slower then last year and with no RB to help them get a major "fix" on their engine problems (Turbogate as it was known last year) I don't see many people wanting a Honda for the 500 so that means Chevy would have to step up and I think maybe one, two at the most additional Chevy's and those will be by teams that will need a money man to get the seat and I'm not sure BC has that kind of funding behind him. If a team like SFHR or if FFU was able to put a second car out there it would be very under performing in qualifying and in the race.
RM: I asked Bryan at the Chili Bowl how things were looking for Indy and he wasn’t real optimistic because the USAC/IndyCar money isn’t enough (and I think it’s been reduced) so he needs to find some outside help. Conway wants to run more than Long Beach so he’s the lead candidate but I’m sure Robert will find another shoe at Indy (maybe Briscoe if he’s still rideless).
Speaking of the 2-time National Drivers Champion, did USAC totally do away with that title this year? We're several races into the USAC season and I see no mention of the NDC on their website.
A man is about as big as the things that make him angry.
The road to Indy program was one of Randy's babies. With him gone, it would not surprise me that this program would disappear. I really enjoyed seeing BC run Indy last year, and the Indy lights the year before.
