To all the fans of short track racing and the many fans of this website I thought I壇 take the time to introduce myself. My name is Peter Smith, I致e been a lifelong fan of racing in almost all forms. Roger at Luvracin.com has given me an opportunity to use my trade to give something back to the sport and I could not be more elated. I will be covering mostly local events near my home in Toledo ohio, but will focus on pavement sprints, super modifieds and local openwheel sanctions. As I知 sure most of you are I知 excited about the upcoming season. I知 excited at the prospect of the competing super modified sanctioning bodies working together, I知 excited about the influx of talent into the pavement sprint car ranks, and excited to see to new non wing pavement spring car series , The ICAR Top Speed Non-wing sprint car tour and the USSA sprint car challenge series. I知 excited about the health of non-wing spring car racing on dirt in my area with the car counts Waynesfield Motor Sports Park and the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series ( BOSS ). Most of all though I知 excited for just another racing season to begin
Soon all the speculation, rumors, hopes and hardwork of the teams will be over shadowed by the on the on track action. No matter what any of us thinks about the state of short track racing, no matter the ******** of local racing that often become a distraction to all of us, we are all just ready to get to the track. Hopefully on during my travels this year I will meet many of you, if you see me at the track in my luvracin.com shirt come and say hi. Over the years I have found that there is no better community then the racing community and I知 proud to be part of even playing such the minuscule role that I am.

I've followed IOW for quite awhile posted a few under another name but will be doing alot more with my new duties for those interested You can follow me at Ohio_openwheel on twitter for updates from the tracks I値l be attending or you can friend me on my face book page Buckeye Openwheel. Here is a link to my page at luvracin.com as well http://luvracin.com/03_writers/Pete_Smith.htm

MY upcoming schedule for races is Attic Raceway park 3/29 3/30 Montpelier Motor Speedway 4/5 , 4/6 and Anderson Speedway on 4/14

I値l leave you with this as disappointing as an experience at a track may be this year, remember your attendance and your participation is the only reason we have this sport that we all love.

Hope the snow stops soon
-Pete Smith
