When the track is prepped right there is no other 1/2 mile track I would rather see a race at. Love to hear those engines wind out on those long straights. And the racing is great also.
I really hope they need track packers again this year. I thoroughly enjoyed just driving my Jeep around the track even though it was at 30-40mph at most. When the track was sloppy, even in 4wd, the rear end was sliding out and I couldn't help but imagine what a spring at three times the speed I was going must feel like. I want to just go around two or three laps in a sprinter on that track one day.
And remember, HARF members will receive a $5.00 discount off their general admission ticket at EVERY event. So do the math, even if you go just to THAT for all 6 races, you will save $30.oo, double the cost of a membership...just sayin', bob.

Go buy a 2x10 and a few bolts and get someone to mount it to your front bumper, and you can multi task. Track pack and push cars off.
Better ask for vacation time early now you know most of the dates.......

My vacation time has 99% been spoken for already with a week long mission trip to Tuscaloosa to help rebuild homes with Samaritan's Purse and a three day vacation to the gulf with my fiance and another couple. I have two days I need to save for emergency purposes. Next year will be just as bad as I am taking seven days off for the wedding and honeymoon (maybe if they are racing in Florida in Feb. I could find a race though).
I am going to at least one weekend race at TSS and a race at Bloomington this year as I have never been to those tracks. Also want to get back to the burg for a race.
I will tell you this much, I worked on a sprint car team for 11 years and finally had the opportunity to get in the car and take some laps on a practice day, I gotta tell ya I was a nerves wreck when it was my turn to get pushed of and I almost climbed out, but I'm glad I didn't man what a rush.Im telling you if you ever get a chance do it. It is the most fun you'll ever have to say you was on the Action track in a sprint car. I have had a lot of respect for them boys, But since I did that I have a hell of a lot more respect.Them boys are bad to the bone. I love sprint car racing since I was a little kid. Not to mention its the best racing EVER!!!!
