I tried to call marc today and wasnt able to get ahold of him... it totally bums me out that he hasnt found any help yet. We are running our midgets and sprints as a family deal like marc and his parents did and it's amazing how much more we are spending just to keep up with the times, its a shame but i think its an end to an era.
Last night brian gerster was on the PA at anderson basically hinting to the fact that he worked his way (litterally with a paper route into go karting) and at the time he was coming up there were countless owners that HIRED drivers, not drivers hiring owners. It was neat to hear that and I sat in the pits with my dad looking over our equiptment and our competitors equiptment and thought how much things have changed. We are spending an enourmous amount, ENOURMOUS, just to make the show, the level of spending it takes to win goes beyond what even moderately wealthy people could ever afford... and these days even those people are struggling with the economy as it is. I guess if i had a point to make it would be teams that we've lost like marc's parents are most likely gone. Teams like our family arent far behind if things continue to progress, and even some of the larger family deals will go away too. With the spending its taking im guessing teams will only exist for short periods which might just be to get to the next level or just for a favor to a friend, the days of the imfamous "XX" car might be coming to close. Racing is a bad investment... Kevin Studley |

I know unless we find some help to at least cover the cost of gas and race fuel this might be our last year. We already run a limited schedule as is.
