Weather will be the headlines for this weekend as the storm (Isaac), should be there, head out West. I could be wrong.

You're just hoping we're going to get rained out. You're the one that was whining about the race at Calistoga being ruined, because of two drivers that won't be there. In 2005 we ran an entire Sprint Week with the remnants of a hurricane right over us. Those things break apart when they hit land, so you never know how much is going to be left or where it's going to go.

Jerry,

You are definitely right about that. Hope we can get some more rain before the weekend and Isaac heads on out. I plan to attend Granite City on Friday, Terre Haute on Saturday and my 48th consecutive Silver Crown at DuQuoin on Sunday. Last year the weather was in a big transition and I drove through light rain on the way to DuQuoin, but it cleared and turned unseasonably cool for the rest of the Labor Day Weekend. It doesn't matter what we want though, as we don't control the weather. Amazingly, Indiana Sprint Week had two rainouts in the midst of a record drought. Hard to believe that happened. Hope everyone, no matter whether they live in the midwest, or on the east or west coast, gets to see some good racing action this weekend, since there wasn't much action last weekend.

There might not have been much action where you were, but there certainly was plenty of action at the Smackdown. You might have needed a nitro pill or 2 to keep up with it all !!

If the sky isn't falling, I will be there. Bringing my girlfriend also who has never been to a race. She is always willing to try or go to something new. I hope the sky isn't falling, but have a feeling it will be.
