Just saw on the tube, where Carroll Shelby passed away today. RIP, old friend! God Speed! Bob!

A great American icon is gone RIP Carroll.

Very Sorry to hear of Shelby's passing. A true icon.
My thought's and prayer's are with his family. A huge
loss to the Ford family & racing community!!

The wife and I meet him in 2002 in Vegas at his shop, he was one of the nicest people I have ever meet, it was like talking to an old friend or even your own Grandfather.

It is a sad day for the automotive universe.

Rest in peace Mr. Shelby.

Personlly I didn't know him at all but his cars and performance packages have been legendary for the last 50 years.

I think it was 91 or 92 and he'd just recovered from heart transplant surgery as was out on Indy running the pace car which was still a prototype at the time. VIPER. He was flat having a ball, Often running 150mph will little more safety equipment than a seat belt. You could just see the joy in his face as he was driving and on pit road.

R.I.P Mr. Shelby. Also one of the longest surviving heart transplant patients

I'm sadened by this news. Here's a shot of two of my heroes......they're together now. R.I.P. Mr Shelby.
