Any info would be appreciated.

How much rain have they had so far?

How's the radar looking?

Just talked to the fairgrounds office and they informed me it is still raining and a decision would be made by 4:00PM, but told me to call back in an hour to see if it is still raining. When you have three hours plus to drive, this is a tough call. If they reschedule, I hope it is not on Memorial Day. That happened one year, back in the eighties. Personally, I'd like to see this race moved back to the Saturday after Labor Day the way it was in its' glory days and run back to back races in conjunction with the Hut Hundred at Terre Haute.

Ron,

I doubt that this helps, but it is raining here in Anderson and the radar doesn't look very good. I realize it is a tough call but it really hasn't rained here very hard. Some of the cells on the radar look to contain some heavier bands but who knows.

Just a suggestion, but maybe you could head up toward Bloomington and if the Silver Crown race is rained out you might catch the show on the red clay.

Mike

Be nice to people on the way up. You might need them on the way down. Jimmy Durante

Mike,

I have tickets for the Hoosier Hundred, so I'm just going to stay home and rest if they don't run. I have to drive to Morgantown, KY tomorrow to meet with Earlene's siblings so that they can decorate family graves, then get up at 2:00AM Sunday to drive to the 500.

According to USAC official William Carrey, tonight's event is indeed rained out, and they are looking into a rain date.
