This is an unusual request, I have a friend in the UK who is building a car and would like to put a hood on it like the one in the photo below.

Does anyone know where he can get one from?

I will try and get a hold of Dustin sometime today and see what I can find out.

Be sure to visit www.manvelmotorsports.com. 2024 Robert Ballou Calendars are available.

That kind of looks like a KKR hood with some slight modifications and you might have some trouble finding that. KKR had basically sole rights to that style of hood for awhile and was very had to find. Here is a link to a very similar looking hood. http://www.tqfiberglass.com/sprint-c...Sharkhood.html

Would a No. 5 wash tub flipped over on a sheet of aluminum work for ya?

Colin,

Morty has a good point. If you are unable to locate a suitable hood (bonnet cover?) and/or
wish to save some money, that style is pretty easy to fabricate from sheet aluminum.

Thanks for all the help, looks like shipping costs may be too high, unless I could sneak it on as hand luggage next time I fly!

Looks like my friend will have to fabricate his own Hood, or bonnet as Jack Dupp rightly pointed out is what we call a hood here in the UK!

These hoods come from Rodger Crocket in California. He races winged sprints out there.
