Sorry, no longer interested...

It's a spec series where a guy from China can come in with money and race on the hallowed grounds of Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Yet, with too many quality drivers to name, our American guys who have tore it up for years at places like Eldora, Springfield, and DuQuoin, no longer have access to drive in the greatest spectacle in racing.

Sure, there are many incredible international drivers in ICS right now. Power, Briscoe, Kanaan, etc., but there's also too many Milka Duno's and too few ____________ (fill in the blank with a great American driver)

Agree 100%! Lost interest years ago when Sprint Car and Midget drivers were turned away at the door.

Not sure I disagree with the foreign thing but if you are no longer interested then why did you post it?

My favorite Indy 500 was 1998. Jack Hewitt, JJ Yeley, Andy Mitchner, Jimmy Kite, Tony Stewart, Davey Hamilton, Donnie Beechler, Mark Dismore, Billy Boat. This was a great year and gave hope to us USAC guys.

Dave Darland. Has proven himself a winner on pavement or dirt. Native son of Indiana. Great with the fans. He might be a little older, but if there was justice he would have been there years ago.

I heard King say the other day there were still 41 car/driver combos. So many of your "Milkas" will be going home. So, root for your American's in Buddy Rice, Rahal, Hunter-Reay, JR Hildebrand, Patrick, Hamilton, Marco and John Andretti, Carpenter, Kimball and Bell.

So all of u xenophobes must have been finished with Indy about 20 years ago right? *I mean in the better days of the modern era (early 90s) before the split, when indycar still mattered, you all realized that with people like Nigel Mansel, Emerson Fittipaldi, Roberto Guerrero, Arie Luyendyk, and hell even Scott Goodyear and Paul Tracy were Canadien, so they had no business being there either right? *Check the stats girls, when these guys made the show the same year guys like Pancho, Tony B, Dismore, JR, and JP either wrecked or were too slow to make the field. Get over it, things arent gonna change no matter how much u cry about it.

Yeah! I'm sure Pancho, JP, JR and the rest had the same steller equipment as Emmo and Mansell too with engineers swarming over the car and budgets out the wazoo. I also remember Gary Bettenhausen beating the crap out of them in qualifications.

And while we're at it, what happened when Arie won his first Indy 500? He lost his ride the very next year. He spent a few of the next several year cobbling together some budget rides until the IRL came around. CART took over Indy Car racing and it was never the same even when they choked on their own purse strings.
