Brutally Cold weather? I love when people use this term for 30's and 20's, when three months ago it was single digits or below.

hahah 50's... I just looked at weather.gov for New Weston on Saturday. High of 45, low of 32 with 29 mph winds out of the north and 30% chance of rain or snow. I dont know if I'd even go sit in that for USAC let alone Modifieds and Stocks.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I can't imagine enjoying holding a cold camera, standing on a cold ladder, leaning on a cold fence while my camera fogs up and the batteries keep dying. I'm also at that "old enough to feel arthritis" age. Call me a baby, I never complain when it's 90º at the end of July, beginning of August. That's my favorite time of year. I do have to say that reading about all of the late February, early March races on the east coast gets me excited for racing to start. Most of the tracks planning to race have already cancelled for this weekend. I'd say it was the right decision.
