Are you talking about the one near the old drive in? I was there about 10 years ago, not much of anything left. I believe that's where Charlie Engle broke his neck. Man, was he one of a kind.

I believe Charlie owned a couple of bars in Dayton. He used to have some wild times with Johnny Shackleford in the Engle's Night Club on Cincinnati Street. Every once in awhile you would see Tom McClellan there also along with Tingey and some other racers.

AMA runs a Flat Track motorcycle race at the fairgrounds every July. I have been the last 3 years and it is great racing. I heard that they run some other events there during the fair. Maybe a demo derby or some thunder car type races.
