The Midwest TQ Racing League™ presented by Vincennes University starts the final month of its 2010 racing season on September 4th with a stop at the Marion County Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Ind.

A full racing program of qualifications, trophy dash, two rounds of heat races, a semi-feature (if needed), and a 25 lap feature are on tap. Activities at the fairgrounds will begin at 5:00 pm with practice, followed by qualifications at 6:00 pm and racing at 7:00 pm. Grandstand tickets are $8 for adults (12 and over), $5 for children, and 6 and under are free.

Additional prizes up for grabs will be the Jackson Oil & Solvents Duel for Fuel, Tony Stewart Racing Rookie of the Race, Ward’s Apparel Hard Charger, Duane & Sonja Alexander Hard Luck Driver, INOX Slick Move of the Race, and the Green Tech Tail Gunner Challenge. If the polesitter accepts the Tail Gunner Challenge, and can win the feature after starting from the rear, his victory will be worth an additional $1,000.

Rookie CJ Leary is the most recent feature winner on the MTQRL circuit taking home the top prize at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds on August 28th. Defending champion Tate Martz chased Leary to the checkers with Chris Guinn, Joe Miller and Chad Rouse rounding out the top five.

Martz, Leary and Guinn are the only drivers to start all thirteen features this season and currently sit first, second and fourth in the season standings. Leary and Martz each have three feature wins while Guinn’s sole win came back on July 26th at the Marion County Fair. Jason Willis (currently third in points) has scored two wins this season while Ronnie Combs, Jason Knoke, Tim Lynch and Nick Speidel have each visited victory lane one time.

By golly, sounds like it might be the approach of some good racing weather for a change, not looking forward to Winter that much, but my A/C and my purse will appreciate it. Hope we have a good turn out, I hear we will be having an added support group of some sort, 4 wheels and 4 cylinders we heard, so we'll have a bit of time between our heats and feature to get ready for our next turn at the track. See ya all Sat night at Marion Cty Fairgrounds. Bob

There will be a support group. Also on hand will be an Autocross, if you have seen one of these, you already know how much fun they are. Basically it is full contact racing on a course with hills and such. If you went to the 09 monster jam in Indy they stole the show that year and where not invited back due to it. The monster Jam guys don't like to be showed up. Don't worry they are not running on the track, they will be in the infield, so the track will not get damaged.

Sounds like something totally opposite, so it should be fun for everyone, looking forward to seeing them, sounds like a mini version of CORR. Bob

Just hope this doesn't turn out to be an "all nighter".

Bring your "Jammie's" Jimmie, you know us old folks got to be prepared for some late nites once in a while, I never go anywhere anymore, without mine! I doubt it will be, we might get to "be" entertained for a change. See ya! Oh yeh, it might run a bit long, my birthday is Friday, so we'll have to have some of Gary Lee's chocolate chip cookie's to celebrate!

JR (767) who is promoting the autocross portion of the show, runs a really smooth show every time. I doubt it will be a late night. I would be there if I didn't already make plans to go to the lake with some friends.

a support group is a great idea to have. gives us time in between races to work on cars and think about what we're doing. a good move

Mark and I have talked alot about this. The time line for the event should not change. The goal for the autocross is to keep the fans entertained while the TQ guys are getting ready for the next race. Fans wanted more.... So the Midwest organizers went out and got them more.

Nick, which car will you be in Sat, Jimmie's? I fooled around last night, and poked a hole in my radiator, good thing I had a spare, but I didn't like the idea of changing it, I was 5 minutes from loading it up, and then it was another 3hrs before I got it ready, just enought diff in the spare, it just doesn't snap in! Kyle has been in Mexico all week, supposed to be back today sometime, he's getting kinda nervous about going anywhere outa town, can't say I blame him. See ya tomorrow. Bob
