The racing gods treated us "cheeseheads" very well this year as we took in 9 shows in Indiana and seen them all with no rain outs! I had a ton of fun and am so glad that i visited with all the people i already knew and even met a few new faces. Thanks to MUDPACKER once again serving as our travel agent on steering us around construction with his directions. Thanks to BIGBUDMAN for his hospitality on the backstretch at the Burg and at Gas City. Thanks to the gang at camp Mowerman's at Kokomo for treating us to some food, great burgers and brats with all the fixins. I'm on vacation from Wisconsin and they still had me "cutting the cheese" like i was at home! Great cheddar and habanero. I made my journey from the backstretch at the Burg to say hi to everyone in section 8 and that's always a pleasure, i almost missed the prez (Marv) but was able to chat with him before i needed to get back for the heats. Being parked by the motorhomes at Gas City is always the place to be, party central if you will! Sunday i was sitting by SHORTBUS in the parking lot and i didn't remember him since i only met him once before but he got my last bag of horseradish cheese and it was nice to see him. All in all it was a great 3 days of visiting and racing and i just wish i could be there every weekend. Until i hit the lottery and let my wife and kids keep all the money it looks like i'm stuck here for now. Wife has no intentions of moving, i tried to work on her but it's not going to happen.

Instead of listing all the friends i had been with this weekend it's just easier to say thanks to the whole entire IOW family for letting me spend time with you and hopefully we go to the 3, 4 or whatever Crown at Eldora or it's going to be until next spring until i can see you again and that's just to damn long! I will stop babbling now cause i'm getting a little misty eyed, i miss you all already. I Love Indiana.

Tim,

As a former Hoosier who loves nonwinged action and now finds myself in WI since January I have found you have some good racing in your backyard with the MSA 360 sprints at Manitowoc and Plymouth each week. I have been to many of there shows this year and have been impressed with the competition. I agree, doesn't compare to the action in IN but it is still sprint car racing. It sure would be nice if we could get USAC to bring the sprinters to WI!

Great to finally meet you, Tim, and I must admit the cheese ranks right up there with the Vermont cheese we buy around the corner from our son's place. :-)

Several years ago i was traveling thru Wisconsin and stopped at a track around Milwaukee. I dont remember the name of the track but it was pretty much flat and had a black cinder like surface. The sprint racing i seen that night was really great!!!

BTW Glad you enjoyed your trip!!!

Tim,

Remember that the doors to Indiana might be closed but never locked. We can get you around the detours. You are welcome here anytime and hope we get to see you again very soon. Maybe you need to bring your wife down to see the races and let all of the IOW folks help persuade her into moving to the great state for auto racing. If she loves you, she would have to love us, right?

Mike

Be nice to people on the way up. You might need them on the way down. Jimmy Durante

Good catching up and talking to you all weekend Tim. Glad you guys made it back safe. Glad to share the Budman skybox with you Friday at Lawrenceburg. Also enjoyed the "horse sh1t" cheese yet again.

Who knows, if that big cheese deal you have working with Kroger comes through, you might be around our way more often.
