Does anybody have a pic of Dickson's car, (if I recall correctly), the blue #80 (Leffler chassis ?) that he used in his 1975 sprint car championship?

Thanks for the help.

Is this it Gregg? I probably have better shots of it but this was a quick search through my stash. I'll find more if this is the one you're talking about.
David.

ps...I added it to the "vintage photo thread" also.

Hopefully IOW member 'Blue Oval' will see this thread.

He and his dad were the sponsors of the car.

Looks like the one David! I somehow knew you'd have it.

I remember one with white numbers on it instead of goldleaf numbers. Maybe a pavement car? Or I could be totally wrong.

Thanks man.

Look on this web site. There's a Larry Dickson thread someplace.

This #80 still belongs to the Ensign family and has either been restored or is in the process of being restored.

I have pictures, programs, and some books dealing with the #80 car from the 1975 season I would be willing to share if I know exactly what your looking for. The car was always painted blue with gold #80 on the tail section the lettering on the hood was white. There never was two cars, the same car was changed from dirt to pavement or visa versa accordingly. After Larry left the team to join Russ Polaks operation in1976 Marvin Carmen a pretty good modified shoe from Michigan was hired by Ernie Ensign, builder and owener of the car as the new driver. I am not positive but I think the #80 was painted in white on the tail then however I do not have any pictures to back that up. The sprint car hall of fame contacted me a few years back looking for the car I steered them to Ernies family in Elyria Oh. I am aware Ernie passed a few years ago and I have not spoken to Larry since 2001 when my father passed. Some one told me a few years ago the car (Maude) as Ernies kids called her was in deed in the museum @ Knoxville, I have not been there so I cannot verify or disregard this info. Feel free to contact me if I can help you in any way. Sam Buck
