Kevin Ramey won the 36th annual Winternationals at the Devils Bowl in Mesquite TX Sunday afternoon. Gary Wright took second followed by Shane Stewart, Johnny Herrera and Sammy Swindell who came from 22nd starting position. They had 58 cars, 6 heat races and 3 B mains. The race was a rare daytime race for the Devils Bowl and the track got a little dry but mostly stayed good and smooth. It was also the first race I've been to lately where I actually had to take my jacket off because it was too warm. Best move of the race in my opinion was Eric Baldicinni getting around both Ramey and Wright in turns one and two going high. But it turned out to be short lived as it was too high and he went off the track coming out of two. He kept it straight and returned to the track after losing several positions. Couple with Jason Johnson's 10th place Stewart extended his point lead to 24 points over Johnson with Wright 40 points back.
