I just received this email from USACRacing.

USAC Sprint Car fans, tune in Thursday night at 7PM (EST) on www.usacracing.com for the Don Branson/Jud Larson Classic as it comes to you from the High Banks of Eldora Speedway. 34 cars and USAC stars tackled "The Big E" on Saturday, April 11th for the first Midwest event of the 2009 USAC National Sprint Car schedule, and we were there to capture all of the action. Catch this tape delayed event being streamed for the first time ever on the world wide web.

I don't know if they really mean Standard Time. timeanddate.com shows Indy as the same time as Boston, which is DST. Did Indiana not switch to DST this year?

Since I'm going to be in London at that time, without a computer, I hope they replay it some time. Of course, even if I had a computer, that's 2AM there (assuming they mean 7 EDT), so I probably wouldn't watch it, anyway.

I was talking to one of my not very well traveled classmates still living in Maine a couple weeks ago. We hadnt talked for quite awhile,so she wanted to catch all the gossip from me now that I live in Indy. We had talked for quite awhile when she asked me "Am I in the same time zone as you?" I told her "I dont know, have you been smoking pot today,if so you might be in another time zone than me"!!

When are you gonna give up going to England, and fly out here to watch the thrilling to real adventures instead?

Next weekend would be good. Midgets and sprints at Granite City, midgets at Little Belleville, and opening night at Kokomo.

Find us a good, 3-race weekend, with enough lead time to get affordable air fares, and Stan and I will be there. Of course, graduation season is coming up, and we have 3 of them among our grandchildren.

Dick, how about Indiana Midget Week? June 10-14

Sprint Week? July 10-12 and July 15-18

Or most any weekend you can catch 3 regular weekly programs anywhere from Haubstadt to Gas City...with several points in between.

Come to Indiana. Spend money. Better yet, stay a good while.:thumb

Even if it was(which it wasnt) whats the difference to you. It was still a good race. Isnt that all that really matters?
