The MMSA 2009 schedule is now posted on "midwestminisprints.com"
After establishing a very successful first season in 2008 with 71 different cars participating helped advance the schedule with the addition of three premier Indiana 1/4 mi. tracks,Rich in midwest racing folklore,these 1/4 mi. tracks make for close,exciting competition, The fans should enjoy watching the "Winged Warrior Tour" action.
In keeping with one of the orginal goals, one weekend each month is left open for family activities.
There will be one date added in late July at Madison, IN , All upright (1,000cc and 600cc) mini sprints are welcome and encouraged to be a part of what promises to be another outstanding season and your support will help make even further advanements in 2010, Two new 1,000cc clubs have been organized since the MMSA emerged last year, It appears we have a positive movement going here.

I was just wondering about the shift. It seemed like last year the series was focused on Ohio and now it seems heavily in Indiana. What was the reason for the shift in the series focus?

I-35 is the only track thats not on the schedule this year from Ohio, seems like the car count is alot higher in Indiana. Still we have many shows at Moler. Be a little easier on the guys from Illinois also...

I'm not sure what the nightly pay off is going to be outside of the 2 $1000 to win shows, but if it stays within $750 a night and $100 to start with their spec motor, you are looking at probably the best bang for your buck around.

Tell us again what the motor pkg. costs. It's well below $5000 isn't it?

Im pretty sure they are all $1000.00 to win... and just like slide said the motors being stock they are very durable.. When I was racing 600 we got 74 races out of a stock r6, when it blew we just bought another for a 1k bucks. The 1000cc are much of the same, in fact they dont turn the rpms that the 600's do, so they will most likely last longer. The 1000's are aprox 200hp, mounted in a 650 pound car and you have yourself a rocket ship, maintence and up keep are not bad, You will use about 4-5 gals of fuel a night, and a right rear tire about every 6 races... Since they dont weigh as much when they do crash its usually minimal, frames are never usually the victim. -andy

I forgot to mention, engines prices range from $800-$2600 dollars, you can find them any where local cycle salvage, erc, ebay. Since gas was so high last year there is a ton of the crouch rocket motors laying around.
