Many of the top teams and drivers in racing have donated items for the annual silent auction held in conjunction with the "Rumble in Fort Wayne" on Dec. 26-27 at the Memorial Coliseum Expo Center.
Among the more than 30 pieces of racing memorabilia received so far are items
autographed by Bobby Rahal, Tony Stewart, Ken Schrader, Michael Waltrip, Kasey Kahne, Ryan Newman, Ryan Hunter-Reay, Kyle Busch, David Reutimann, Michael McDowell and Rumble Series participants Lou Cicconi Jr. and Billy Wease.
The silent auction, now in its fourth year, benefits the Kenny Irwin Jr. Memorial Foundation's "Dare to Dream Camp," located near New Castle, Ind., where youth from throughout the Midwest can come for camping, fishing, boating and karting. The not-for-profit camp is operated by the late NASCAR star's parents, Kenny Sr. and Reba Irwin.
Bidding will begin on Friday, Dec. 26 and conclude on Saturday, Dec. 26, with all money raised going directly to the "Dare to Dream Camp."
