Man she must bring a ton of money with her to race at Indy. More power to her and love seeing Clauson Marshall coming to the brickyard and May, but sure wish Pippa could get some of that sponsorship money to a driver like Sunshine or Windom
I hope this works out for them. I am just afraid that it turns into a distraction/money pit, that takes away from their other programs.
I am also confused on what they bring to the table? No IndyCar inventory, no IndyCar expertise, no engineers, no crew, no crew chief? I know that they have an alliance with AJ's team, but would it not been easier to give AJ all of the sponsor money and have him form a third team?
I would hope that this is just the beginning. I'd like to think that this is CMR getting it's feet wet at Indy with an experienced driver. Maybe next year they would look to put Sunshine in a car? Wouldn't that be something! Keep in mind that Pippa Mann was a HUGE Bryan Clauson advocate, and likely a proper choice for this endeavor.

I think your point is spot-on; Pippa and BC were teammates in 2016 at Dale Coyne Racing and developed a bond. Pippa had a lot of respect for Bryan's talent and drive and was as affected as any of his most ardent fans when we lost him. She felt an immense sense of honor about carrying the Driven to Save Lives sponsorship on her ride with Coyne last year, and was absolutely gutted when she was bumped. I'm sure that connection has a lot to do with her selection for the seat.
Be cool if this turns out so she gets some laps in a midget on the DIRT track there too! (idt Conor Daly had any experience like that b4 last year, & it turned into a few race attempt for him...)
