I'm sure many of you have heard, but if not, Downtown Lawrenceburg suffered a huge loss in a fire that destroyed a row of 5 businesses and apartments on Sunday night. I watched the whole thing just 20 feet away from my office window. There were 7 fire departments and over 100 fire fighters. This fire was set by a 10 year old boy.

A very close friend and fan of Lawrenceburg Speedway has lost everything.

If anyone is interested in helping a few families get back on their feet, please let me know. Just PM me, and we can make arrangements. Think of the small items you use every day....tooth paste, soap, socks, make up, food, dishes, etc...etc....

Even something as small as a $5 gift card to Walmart would make a huge difference!

Here is a link to the entire news story. Eagle Radio continued to broadcast from our smoke filled building throughout the entire night.

Also, Eagle Radio is hosting our biggest promotion of the year, the Eagle On Air Auction. We will be donating a portion of our entire auction proceeds to the local fire departments. (who all service us at Lawrenceburg Speedway.) Information regarding the auction is on the front page of

Terrible fire and the loss of some historic buildings, not to mention displaced families. After watching the news story I am convinced these firefighters aren't paid nearly enough. Great work in absolutely horrible conditions.
