Yeah he was on a mission. Nobody else could run the line Daron was running. Would of liked to seen him pull it out with all the bad luck he has had this year.

Hopefully I will see him next week @ the Burg!

He did everything right tonight but the engine just couldn't take it. I don't think he hit the wall all night!! Tough break for DC but he is still lots of fun to watch!!

I hope he is at L'burg too.

I wished i live alittle closer to the sprint car tracks, i live in western Ky and only track i only gor in Indiana is Haubstadt, and it is close to 2 hours away, but if he is exciting like that at every track it would be worth coming to L'burg next weekend, but the line he was running last night i have never seen run but he had her hollaring!!!

I didn't even see any certain line Cowboy ran! What I notice was, he went where ever, whenever, and however he wanted! Very few tracks have a racing surface like Haubstadt , no matter where you start in the feature, the best drivers can make their way to the front. Yes, watching Clayton race is worth the price of admission alone!

:greenflag:I think DC is great to watch. He is always exciting. One thing I noticed when he was qualifying at J-ville, he used a little different technique than everyone else. He got out of the gas quicker than anyone on the straight, but he also picked it up by the time he was set up going into the turn. I think by doing this, he grabs a little bit of moisture that no one else is using, and it lets him carry a lot of speed through the turn. I was sitting with a guy that didn't know much about him. By the end of the night, he was a big fan.

J. D. is right on the money. The man I was sitting next to at Haubstadt said he had not seen anyone else run so many different places. Seeing DC sweeping around turns 1&2 with that left front hiked toward the sky is simply a thing of beauty. Grace and guts. I certainly hope he has better luck for a good long while.
