Wish I lived a little closer so I could come support this. I love the noon start time. Mix in another USAC race down the road a little bit and they would probably double up on attendance at both events. Glad to see the big cars still kickin'!!

Not quite "down the road", but there is another USAC race that night- Indiana Midget Week at Lawrenceburg Speedway.

I live 5 hours from Gateway, but I'd be there if I didn't have to choose between 2 USAC races on the same day. Seems like the 'Burg is always the track which USAC double-schedules against (even during Sprint Week in the past). Oh well, I guess you gotta race when NASCAR says so, sometimes .

No matter! The Midget Week date at Lawrenceburg has produced some of the best races in recent memory, and that's where I'll happily be.

Just a question, if the drivers compete in both series, is there enough time make it from gateway to the burg? Or do you have to make the choice between the two?

Don't know why my original post got deleted but I was merely making the point that my girlfriend might question my desire to see 2 races in the same day .
