Race/Network Issues during 1st Night of Broadcast at Knoxville

New York, NY, 6/21/08 – First off we fully apologize for issues that occurred with our stream throughout the evening during the 1st night of the Knoxville Midget Nationals. We would ask that any questions and comments be directed to race/network and not the Knoxville Raceway. This has been 100% an issue on the race/network end and has nothing to do with the Knoxville facility or staff, they have been very gracious and great to work with since we started a working relationship with them back in February.

Many people emailed us during the broadcast and we made a point to reply to everyone, openly and honestly about what we felt at the time was the issue(s). We stated that we would take care of all of our subscribers in one way or another and we stand by that. We understand the frustrations in just wanting to watch a race and not having the ability.

We will give subscribers to Day 1 an option for either a full refund for that night or a full rebroadcast of both nights of racing including the ASCS, both Midget, and the 410 Sprint events. If the rebroadcast option is taken we will also offer free access to our On-Demand archive which includes the 2007 Belleville Midget Nationals, 2007 Western World, and the 2008 POWRi DuQuoin races. If you opt for the refund, those who purchased Friday night only will receive $9.99 back and if you purchased the reduced rate 2-day package, you will receive back $7.99. Please email us next week when we have returned with which option you would prefer and we will take care of the situation.

The rains earlier in the day on Friday caused sort some of malfunction in some of the hardware, hub connections and/or cabling that we were unable to locate in the midst of a broadcast. We have re-cabled today and gone with a more basic setup to ensure greater stability.

A stream is up on our home page now and will stay up through all practice sessions to give people considering purchasing tonight’s event a free test preview to show the changes we have made. Again we apologize for the issues from last night and not being able to deliver a product we promised. This was not a network, bandwidth, or load issue, but just a signal failure in our lines locally due to something that occurred during the 1 hour rain storm.

We stand by our product and always will. Thank You.
