Has usac or the people at THAT mentioned anything about delaying the show thursday for a period of time until the sun sets in turn 3? All the drivers that I spoke with said they couldn't see a thing during the mscs race there, then after 4 or five guys got upside down in the same crash in turn 3 because they said they couldn't see they decided to halt the show for about 45 minutes for the sun to set. Last year oops 2 years ago they halted the show for awhile same reason. I would rather show up late than just sit around for an hour and a half if the show will be delayed. or an extended intermission.

After sitting and waiting for 4 or 5 drivers to arrive from a Silver Crown race a few years ago, what's a little sun? They held up the show for at least an hour(if not more) until those guys arrived....the track dried out, and a whole lot of fans were inconvenienced....

It probably was a combination of the dust(day race) and the sun that caused a problem, not just the sun......

Pit Gates open - 2pm

Ticket Office opens - 3pm

Grandstand/Bleachers/Infield opens at 4pm

Drivers Meeting 5pm

Hot Laps 5:30pm

Qualifying 6:15pm

Hot laps are 3 hrs later than they were during the last race. So, hopefully, they will be able to work around that window, when the sun is a problem.

THAT should put inflatable outside t3 high enough to block the sun. Hot air ballons or something like that.

The good thing here is the non-wing sprints are back at the action track this thursday night forecast is looking good so far and hopefully the sun will not be a problem and the show is run quickly. The only bad thing I know of so far is after this night we will have to wait almost another full year before the non-wing sprints are back on the half-mile and that is just to LLLLLOOOOOOONNNNNGGGGGG before they are to run there again.
