We snapped a rear axle in practice at the US24 race, and the chain apparently jammed between the case saver and the front sprocket, cracking the case just above and to the left of the shifter (pic attached). I'm wondering if anyone has attempted to repair this kind of damage, and if so, can you refer me to a good shop to handle the repairs? We run a '03 R1 Yamaha.

BTW, I'd like to thank Myron Swartz, owner of the #02 sidewinder who loaned us a spare axle, and helped with the repair, and the many others who stopped by and offered assistance.

Wasted a good #2 place finish in the heat a couple weeks ago, and about $300 in gas for two round trips to Logansport from Columbus Ohio, but we enjoyed racing with the midgets.

Call Lynn Reid at Kokomo Honda, he can weld the case back.
