I was at Gas City Friday night and I noticed Darland around the 39car. Walk over to the car, and sure enough it has his name on it. Kinda surprised me because lets face it, you would think people would be standing in line for Dave to drive there car for KISS. The 39 car is not a bad car, but its not one that you automatically think about being the winner (nothing agaist Goodnight at all). After practice you could tell the car was slower than the favorites. They got a good drawl, and dave won the heat race. 1 more good drawl and he started up front. I must say normally I do not pull for Dave because I like the underdog story, but tonight Dave was the underdog. Long green flag racing means dealing with alot of lap traffic. Thus many times the faster cars end up dominateing becase they are able to make more moves in lap traffic. Dave was having to set up his passes like he was moving thru the field. It was just impressive. He took an average car and put it in victory lane. Great Job, I think you drove your but off.
